It had always been my hope to find a solution for suffering. Why not? I believed that there was something mechanical wrong with our society for it to permit so much suffering. It was obvious that suffering has economic as well as intellectual factors. To approach the problem one would need an economic base to finance the study and improvement of the human condition. Since suffering is world wide the economic base would be more appropriate if were international.   

About ten years ago I sold some property I had and began a project to hand make clothing in Chile. The concept was to make the finest hand made clothing in the poorest area of Chile and in turn sell them to the wealthiest men in America. With the profits build schools and better the lives of the people that made the clothes. All this done in the context of study and experimentation on new concepts of social organization.

As you may know there are very few tailors that can actually make clothes by hand. It requires a great deal of specific knowledge plus the talent to sew well. We spent the first five years training the shop to make a form of hand made suit that is specific to the high end clothing business. About 4 years ago we opened a retail store. Unfortunately in the first moths of opening we were given notice that the building owner had defaulted on the buildings mortgage. Our store as well as all the other tenants of this 7 story building lost our leases.

In 2008 I closed our shop in Chile. In order to put to best use the property we hade in Chile we placed the tailoring equipment in small portion of the property and built a Pizza parlor.
