Statement Is our inborn neurology the only thing that makes existence reasonable to us? Is there a direction, what is it, and why, what role do we actually play in our cosmic event? Is our humanity driven by desire and to what end? Can we approximate a conclusion from what we know? Trust and faith... why? What certainty is there in all the possible possibilities that the outcome will be a good one. Is it our conscious, or conscience that apprehends that in truth and honor there is hope? To me these are the central questions of our existence. Words such as good, and beauty are abstractions of semantic
concepts that themselves are the representations of the absences of
suffering and akin to pleasure. Possibly we create meaning to our lives without any proper observation. Possibly we do these mythical creations out of a sense of how a realization of meaningless may affect our sense of self and pride. Possibly our myths are the only substitutes for ignorance. Myths that are the parallel
expression of our place and time relative to the conscious maturity of our
culture. On a greater scale that all the efforts and suffering of live is an
evolution alone and without a reasonable definition for that which we
commonly call God. That we are the constitute parts of a much
larger and complex consciousness. That Darwin was more correct than imagined, that we in time would not even recognize ourselves. Yet as small as we are, we are a universe of beauty. Within a single person there is an infinity, there is a rich beauty of complexity. If it were not for consciousness we could not achieve the mechanics, and technologies we do. Complex socio/economic structures all from a rich history of evolution. Our evolution by comparison to say an ants, we have an individual egocentric make up. A makeup that has its basic origins in the differences of sexual makeup. Ants can achieve in a single colony a work of organization, of selfless dedication to the state that we find impossible. Our egocentricity is itself a double edge soured. On one hand it prevents us from organizing like ants, but on the other hand it gives us an individual consciousness that sees the universe as our own individual domain. We answer not to Queen or King but to God and what could that be. Could it be a derivative of past and present. Archetypal expectations? It is somewhat obvious that the work of living is not a by design a particularly pleasant one. That without material and carnal desires, most people wouldn't know what to do. Without clear definition for a purpose, reason, or God... the sinless would have no reason to exist. Conceptual sins like lust, gluttony, envy, vanity, lust, sloth, greed and pride... these are the constituent engines of our economies. Greed is the invisible hand that moves capital. Sex without lust? Advertising without envy? Sports without pride? Fashion without vanity?............ Why are children abandoned and suffer in all modern economies? Terrorism, violence, is what is bread and cultured by our egocentricity... we not only kill our own kind, but we by the millions care little for our own children and blindly wonder why they in turn hate, and evil acts occur. We are who we are, so simply move ahead. Examine closely what this is, be as truthful as possible, and build something that is more suitable to us. A kindler place for as many as possible. Abandon the politics and simply go directly and solve the problem. Dedicate yourself to the ideals. To give semblance of significance to an otherwise meaningless existence by selfless acts, and in the process make a kinder people. In fact the answers to all these questions are academic and unimportant by comparison to actions. The economics of the sermon Strangely serendipity, destiny, or the word of God appears to be set to take place. The sermon on the mount appears to be coming to true. To me this sermon is a statement in economics predicted 2000 years before. We have stumbled through history in a direct path. The banker is the banker and the baker is the baker. The soldier, the saint, the liar, the whore. Each one lived his or her life in a grand mathematical model. Of each life's value in the past 10,000 years it would be impossible to say if the Greatest Pharaoh was more significant than an unborn child. Possibly we did not become aware of evolution till Darwin. Yet, any one can see that we evolve culturally, that change dose occur. From fire to the wheal, to flight in space. Over the years as this change happens, we become aware of it and we therefore change with it. The thirteen year old of today has a different conceptual view of himself and of his world than say a Child 4000 years ago. So say you are Christ (he said you could be and more). Imagine you know that things change and you look at that change into the future. Imagine that you know that in time there will no longer be shortages that there will be plenty for all. Would it not come to you that if there is no longer need for material goods ... who would inherit the earth ? The meek, the poor, .... for all others would be fools. If you remove the value to the material you have changed the human paradigm. In addition to a visible change over time of the material world we see there is the change in human character. Today we would be shocked if the Governor of Colorado invited guests, for dinner, and after the meal for his guests entertainment had two gage fighters fight till one was killed. Will to power I know kind persons that know little and weal little power, yet have within them kindness. I know persons of great power that care mostly for the power that consumes them daily and ignore kindness. It is unimportant weather we define what underlies human motivations, progress, evolution social or cultural. For the operative reality of our existence will not change with a more accurate understanding of the motivating force. What will permit change is a more pervasive belief in ourselves, in good actions and truth. A greater acceptance of the value of human life and a diminishment in value for the material. Our current human condition has been assaulted first by past religious dogma and later by existential annihilation of the individual. Will, has been understood as power and power believed to be more significant than our higher human value, love. Regardless if you approach understanding ether by a religious epistemology or by the logic of philosophy you will find yourself at the same place, the same point of origin. Your life was your universe, and its quality depended on you. Hell was the poorly done life, both eternal and finite.
