Overview

The meeting was scheduled for Susie and Rev. Richardean Anderson to meet Claudio Avendano, owner of The Tailor Shop. Rev. Anderson could not be present due to a recent out of town trip and multiple meetings scheduled. As the Seeds for Life Educational, Inc. continue to bring innovative ideas and programs to the youth, Susie suggested teaching students to design and sew their own clothes linking it to Math and Science.

Business Discussion:

Susie shared her plans to start a Non-profit 501(c) 3 Trade School to be facilitated from her residence. The trade school will be a link to Seeds for Life Educational, Inc. Our target group will be boys and girls age 13 – 18. The 1st draft of the business plan will be reviewed at the next meeting.

Claudio is a professional tailor who will teach students the fundamentals of designing and tailoring. The process incorporates basic arithmetic and geometry. At our next business meeting Claudio will bring the first syllabus draft of the tailor program.

Susie will bring a list of corporate sponsors and individuals who will support student stipends. Students will be recruited from community newspaper ads and organizations.

Arthur Davis was appointed with his permission by Susie to draft the Public Survey regarding the Tailor Program that students will use to conduct the survey getting Fashion Responses from a cross section of people.
